Lovely tree. Very cold here. Nice to be sitting in a warm house, sipping coffee, playing Sudoku, enjoying pictures of warm climes.

After reading the comment from Chris it reminded me that some of the joys of life do not require wealth.

If I'm not mistaken, the zoo at San Diego has some of those tree ferns in one of its exhibit. They are interesting flora.

Great weather here - 73 and sunny but still dry. No tree ferns here but I do have a picture like this of our coconut palms in the back yard. I love the colors.

maen all! trees look like what we call norfolk island pines around here. very popular house plant.

I was going to say they look like Palm Trees to those of us in Florida. Reminds me of Jimmy Buffet and Margaritaville.

Nancy, I have only ever seen tree ferns in the cooler parts of Australia. They love the cool, damp creeks in the Dandenong Ranges just north of Melbourne. These were photographed at Mt Wilson in the Blue Mountains just west of Sydney. If you want to learn more abut them go to -

Carol, deltz, Bill and others - it is a fern, not a tree. It reproduces by means of spores on the underside of its fronds. To my mind they have a sort of 'Jurassic Park' look about them.
