Sudoku Puzzles

I didn't see very much of Monaco but what I saw was lovely.

My typical style of proof writing has been to only include the steps that I found necessary to solve a puzzle. That style perhaps is counterproductive for those who may be trying to learn from the proofs. For that reason, I will try to post a different proof style today - still has the obscure More...

A proof for tough sudoku of 01 12 2007:

1) Start at 22 filled - the given puzzle. Unique Possibilities to 23 filled. (UP 23).

2a) Locked 1's at b13 forbids b45=1
2b) triple 278 at c123 forbids a2b3c59=2, a2c9=7, b13c9=8
2c) Locked 3's at ab5 forbids def5=3
2d) fc on 5's: More...

This 'though' wasn't so easy..... but I did it!

Couldn't do this one without guessing, still intimidated by the proof lingo, hopefully someday logic wouldn't pass me buy, like Monaco, in the blink of an eye. Although, with the best collection of cars on the planet, Monaco is hard to miss!

Oooh nice, one of mine! I only submitted these last week. This is probably my favorite photo out of all I took - but it's from a while ago, a couple years or more. This is on the very edge of town - although, admittedly, not very far from the other edge :).

Kind of hard today, lots of guesses and re-filling of possibilities.
