Sudoku Puzzles

I think Fiona cleared something up for me. Am I right in that some of these really outstanding times are times to actually solve the puzzle (once the set-up, ie. 'pencil' marks have been done)? Or am I scrambling up the wrong tree?
My time (set-up included) was 17:15. If I take out what's being More...

that's ... I'd be speaking baby-goo all day with my 2-yr old toddler!!

An hour today. Tough one for me...

It took me 36:20, but with pure logic only. Satisfying, because it was a tough Tough!

definitely a tough one for me today. Took about 30 mins (like Audrey from Seattle, I solve as I'm setting up). And like George from Greece, I used hidden triples. And 2 xwings. And an FC. By this time my brain was addled and I was mad at myself that I couldn't see the answer! Tomorrow's another day, says Scarlett...

I can't believe the 'tough' one was easier than the 'hard' is that usual or am I getting a bit better at this terribly addicting game.

So, I guess I have to visit Bruno to find out what an FC is? I didn't realize there was a notation and everything. Much to learn...

No bull - dont know the things you listed. I', self taught. I scan for the most numbers represented and attempt to fill them in, then some marking up and then analyse. If i put and '8' there what does that mean for the rest of the puzzle - find it works out pretty quickly so far. I do check my More...

Read some of the other entries - don't do any 'setting up' marking up all possibles - who has time. I find the patterns 'jump' out quickly by scanning first

40 min. No cheats, no setup, no guesses, all logic.

12:00 mmmm an easy tough.

14:42 my fastest and first time under 20min. no guesses.

38mins flat with 3 guesses, the second of which needed to backtrack to choose the other option.

and all done on paper.

Googled 'Bruno' & 'FC' to no avail and then found 'Proofs' at the top of this webpage. Great site - well done Bruno - but still no idea what FC means. Anyone care to enlighten us? My best guess is 'Flashing Cells' ;)

thanks me, I like to think that I can solve them 'on my own' without aids. I can take two or three days, by walking away when I get stuck.It is a really good feeling when it come out.
