A proof for tough sudoku of 12 22 06:
1) Start at 22 filled - the given puzzle. Unique Possibilities to 27 filled. (UP 27).
2) b8=4 == a7=4 -- a7=8 == hi7=8 -- hi8=8 == f8=8 forbids f8=4 UP 29
3) Locked 4's at e78 forbids e135=4 UP 32
4) Hidden pair 38 at ac9 forbids a7=8,a9=17,g7=3 More...

Today's puzzle is a little bit more difficult then yesterday's, but still nothing like the monster of 12/20/06.
I did submit a proof of that one, but it is as ugly as - well let's just say that I resemble the proof.

Maen - This one seemed pretty easy today - only one fairly short FC to falsify. Some days you see it; some days you don't. I have given up on 12/20.

good Maen! Steve, agreed in the respects of the 20th being suprisingly hard - took me like 22 minutes. This one i finished in 9 minutes. I think ive internalized different proof methods like swordfish etc.. I think i do too many sudoku :)
