The Eiffel tower in a haze. I flew over it at dusk when leaving London a couple of years ago and it was lit up. The sight was magnificent from the air.

Good puzzle for me. I got all the way to 49 filled and then had to guess just once.

Great photo. Whose is it?

Too bad it wasn't a beautiful day with blue sky and puffy white clouds.

The trip to France had not been going as well for the Hemmingtons as they had planned. Evelyn and Horace HAD given some though to leaving their two-year old "Baby Genius" (as Evie loved calling little Kelso) with Horace's parents... but for some strange reason they had had their phone off More...

And by the way, Anne, that must be a pretty powerful telescopic lens you're using; getting a picture of the Eiffel Tower while departing London. ;>)

Which reminds me of a 'blond' joke: One blond asked another, 'Which is closer, the moon or Florida.' The second blond responded, 'Duh, can you see Florida?'
Anyone who is offended by 'blond' jokes is free to substitute 'Aggie' for 'blond'. Or 'man'. Or whatever suits your fancy.

Whoops, sorry everyone, this one isn't my photo. I was just commenting on seeing the Eiffel Tower from my flight from London about 4 years ago and this photo reminded me of it.
Thanks Amanda (my daughter) for e'mailing me to tell me to let you know of the confusion.

Love the story Jaffy!

My favorite blonde/blond/pick your own target:
Did you hear about the blonde newscaster who was in the helicopter crash? She had the pilot turn off the rotors because they messed up her hair.

HalT - when I saw the Eiffel Tower from the plane I was flying Air Mauritius so headed direct south, which took us over Paris and along the coast of Italy to Mauritius for an overnight stop before resuming next day to Australia.

Anne - that makes sense. I thought that you would have been at a higher altitude by the time you passed over Paris and the Eiffel would be harder to see. But hey, it must have been a great view.

10.06 Umm, at first guess, I'd say it's the Eiffel Tower.
