Good morning gb. Yes, that will help find the type of solution to look for. Look forward to seeing how you translate proofs, do you have a program to check for equivalent puzzles or do you just have very good spacial awareness?

I visually find the renumbering needed, then I lazily use a program to avoid manual rewriting of grid after renumbering...
it's not so hard to find the renumberings, if you do it by comparing the grids containing remaining possibilities after first simple eliminations. For instance More...

in the 10/08 grid after 28 cells filled, you see R2 is, among all rows and columns, the only one where all cells are filled.
So : turn 09/12 90°clockwise (Cc-->R7), then renumber (R7-->R2). See? and so on.
