Kids Day Out at the races today. The girls are singing so I will be there. Ally has 4 solos plus she will be up front for 5 of the Pride songs. That's the most she has ever done at one show. Luckily it is spread out over 4 hours.

Theresa, welcome. This is a great place to come and have a chat or complain about something. We all listen very well. It usually makes you feel better.
I wish all my complaining would get rid of the cold. It is in the 30's today and should be back in the 80's on Saturday. We get some very crazy weather down here.

Tami, the weather here has been crazy too. I think it's a world wide thing. Parts of Australia have been on flood watch while other parts have catastrophic fire warnings - as in if there is a fire it's going to be BAD.

Thank you for all the welcomes. I hope to get to know you better as time goes on. Sorry to hear about the missing kitties. I do volunteer work at a cat rescue/sanctuary and have a fair number of my own cats. We lost three due to illness and old age last year. If a cat disappears it's worse because you keep hoping and waiting.

Good for you, Theresa. I work with a Collie Rescue group (Cedaridge Collie Rescue). I'm the one in the group who takes in the geriatrics and the ones with health issues that aren't adoptable. They have a permanent home with me. Some cousins work with a cat shelter/ sanctuary in Cincinnati.

I'm feeling a little depressed. IH told me that he was going out of town for 2 days, leaving at 6 pm this evening. At 8 pm, he came back in the door and announced that he isn't going until tomorrow morning. That gives me 1 1/2 days only.

Well, I'm back and I've had to turn on the air-con so less power is going into the grid, darnit - I held out as long as I could. The idea is to use as little power in the hours of sunlight to get the maximum power back into the grid.

Gail, so pleased you cat is back home.
Bean I hope for cooler weather next week in Melbourne. Will be there all week till Ken comes down and we will fly home sometime between 25-27. That will give us one week till we leave for Egypt.
I will go to Belinda's tomorrow and help her do some jobs. it has been hard for her as she has had Laura for three weeks of holidays so has not got a lot done.

I went to do the paperwork for the 'new' car. I could not take out the comprehensive insurance because my name was not on the 'old' policy for the 'ute'. They would give me a cover note till Ken gets back. Then when I went to pay More...
