Windy but not too cold here, started off a little wet but wind has blown the showers away. Hubby and I are supposed to be going away in the caravan this weekend (Friday to Sunday)I'll have to get my finger out and get the caravan ready, will have to rinse and sterilise all the water pipes, they have stood all winter.

I haven't seen Mama in here for a couple of days, she must be really busy packing for her trip. Just in case she does visit I thought I would let her know that the weather is improving over here in the UK for the last couple of days the temps have risen to double figures (centigrade)

Oh dear I should have checked the 5 day forecast before posting that last comment. I just checked for here and Paris and temps are due to drop again to single figures. We even have snow forecast for Sunday while we are away in the caravan, thank goodness it has good double glazing and a decent heating system.

Have you called the SES CynB? Actually, do you have the SES in Queensland??

Reading this overseas , Melbourne has had gale force winds up to 120k/h with a lot of damage and some loss of life.

I think our Melbourne SA4ers are all recovering from the wind damage as it is very quiet here tonight.

I am waiting for a page to load so thought I'd drop back in and say hi and check how things are going. Winds are horrible! We've cut down a total of 5 trees because of them, though we've planted more, they are still very small. Very sad...

Hi Suzy, Winds like they are having in Melbourne are terrible. Sorry you lost trees to winds. My son in Melbourne was not affected as there are not many trees where he lives. Not sure about Gail who lives where there are a lot of trees.

Casablanka has had a text from Gail. She is without power and it will not be reconnected before tomorrow. Apparently could not get home from the hairdresser. At least we know she is OK
