Lynda, both of yours sounds close to my mom's. I seem to remember peas, green beans, corn, onion, carrots in hers. I haven't made it in a long time. Since it's just us 2, we'd be eating it for at least 3 meals.

that's right.. eaa's son got married last week, and they go back to Tasi on the 26th !!

the meat sauce does freeze well Becky.. all you would have to do is defrost, and add the potato topping.. and wha la dinner is served !!

I'll give it a try. Always looking for ways to have instant meals on hand.

Becky I make small individual pies and freeze ones I don't need. There are only two of us as well, quite often when I make a meal I make enough to freeze a couple of meals, all I do then is add fresh vegetables.

Hi Suzy, you snuck in there. Sauce for Italian type dishes seems to improve for freezing, especially the tomato based ones.

I'll have to cook it and make an extra big batch - then I only have to cook once for 2 meals!! Sounds like the way to go to me!

I might make it this weekend. Right now the only meals I have frozen are soups.

My meatloaf freezes well, I always make 2 loaves and I just microwave it (with water) for the second night.

I'm leaving already. I start tutoring in a few minutes and won't finish until 7 tonight. A long night as I had to rearrange stuff to take d2 to the doctor yesterday. Sounded good at the time, but really sounds dreadful now!

We just ate the last meatloaf a couple of weeks ago. Tonight we had fish, veggies, fruit and rolls. Tomorrow's dinner is up in the air. I'm ready for some moral food.
