I'm back - ditzy blonde that I am I forgot I had booked my car in for a rego check this morning! All done now so it will be registered in time. Could have been late because I thought I had plenty of time... only to realise that was a month ago. Luckily it only needed a couple of light globes and wiper blades to pass so they could do it on the spot.

Glad the inspection went well, Suzy.
Well, I'm off for now and probably until tomorrow - got to do some shopping/banking etc and then a bit of a clean-up, have youngest grandie, Chloe coming tonight for a sleepover on her own while her Dad takes her big sisters to the Broncos/Titans game and her Mum has a much-deserved night out with the girls.

Good evening gang! Gosh it's been hard to find time at the pooter. My yard has taken over my life right now. This permanent water system over 2/3 of an acre is turning out to be huge! Lots of digging.

Just a quick post to say I wont be around till Monday. Heidi, you reckon you've got an early start tomorrow, I will be getting up at 3am to get ready and out to the airport for a 6.30 flight! What was I thinking? Going to Adelaide for my brother Matthew's 50th birthday party.

At least hubby wont be bored while I am away. He has ordered some timber to make a shelving unit for the engine room. He reckons he might take D#3 out to dinner and a movie tomorrow night. He's going back to see more trekkies!
We also did a 'gail' today and I bought some jeans to take away with me...which reminds me, better throw them in the machine for a wash, I hate that new jeans smell!

Very sad to hear about Bud. Saw him interviewed on Talking Heads recently, and he just seemed so sweet and charming, like we always thought he was.

I have to get photos together for Ian's school band. Their concert is next week and the music teacher asked me for pictures at the Senior Review Wednesday evening(Ian played in the band and the entire high school was presented in full uniform on the football field). It's going to take me a while.

MizT, one day I will take a photo of the quilt my grandmother made me and post it just for you. She told me it is called a Baltimore Quilt and as far as I can tell it is all hand stitched. I'm too scared to use it.
