But eaa, back when I was young, I paid good money for the look I have now, we called it frosted. Now it is naturally frosted hehe

2 to go.
10/Mar/09 9:38 AM

MizTricia snuck in there and got the TOPP. I had to wait to make sure it wasn't me.

 |  |

Missed , BYe.
10/Mar/09 9:39 AM
 |  |

OOOPS, I thought it was still further away! Apologies, eaa, I did not mean to take that from you.
10/Mar/09 9:39 AM
 |  |

Accidental TOPPs are the best. Now that we know eaa is back, it won't be long before she is on the list.
10/Mar/09 9:41 AM
 |  |

Have to go fling food. I will be back later.
10/Mar/09 9:48 AM
 |  |

Empty house!
June - don't you love her look of concentration? It almost looks like her tongue should be sticking out!

Hi eaa! I wasn't worried.

MizT, back in my younger days people paid good money go have curls like mine - in fact they thought I did too. Now people pay good money to have the exact opposite of curls like mine!

I forget who recommended Symply Too Good to be True to me. The Mango Chicken was yummy, a little sweet, but yummy....

Just waiting for the Avon order to arrive here. Lots more rain we are having.
My backyard is looking like a pool, again.
Nice to see you post eaa.

Good morning lovely SA8 people.
eaa - Great to see you posting.
Gail - Welcome back
MizT - I used to make beer bread years ago - hmm, must try it again.
Broni - hope the gum is feeling better today.
Tami - interesting about the eagles, hope that test with those bad kids goes More...

Judy - I don't know what you are worried about - I always seem to chase everyone away when I post. So, with that, I'll leave and take myself to the movies - 'Changeling', I think.

I TAKE A 5 HOUR NAP AND EAA IS BACK!!!!!

Suzy, I remember back in the day going to the hairdresser with my sister. I had my hair permed to be curly like hers, she had hers straightened to be like mine!
10/Mar/09 12:33 PM
 |  |

Tami.... Tomorrow is the big TEST day. sweetheart. I hope it goes better than expected.
10/Mar/09 12:35 PM
 |  |

It should Heidi. One of the teachers volunteered to take most of the bad ones. I may only have 4 or 5 kids.
10/Mar/09 12:38 PM
 |  |

GREAT! Send that teacher some chocolates!
10/Mar/09 12:43 PM
 |  |

I am not sending him anything except all of my problems.

Hello everyone!
Suzy - we use the Annette Sym books a lot - we like them because the food isn't too fancy, or too expensive, just ordinary things that most of our family will eat. When Rob cooks he always looks through those books first. In Book 1 there's a recipe for damper that sounds a lot More...

Heidi, it is a long way to the next TOPP but I am going to tuck myself in and watch tv and let you have it all to yourself. Enjoy.

Good Night everyone. Hope tomorrow is a great day for one and all.

Judy, did I say I did the Italian herb variation in my bread tonight? It was a big hit. Hubby said he would give up one of his beers anytime I wanted to make more.

I think I will try other variations, and make up a few myself. I am thinking cinnamon and raisins and some sweetener to make a More...

I was wondering what caused that metallic aftertaste. I didn't know it was baking powder.
10/Mar/09 1:27 PM

MizTricia this recipe is VERY simple - uses 3 cups self-raising flour, 1 teaspoon each of sugar and salt, 1 egg white and 1 "stubby" of beer.(375mls) Mix with a wooden spoon, coat a loaf-tin with cooking spray, bake at 180C for 1 hour. Best eaten the same day. It's low-fat; I often spread More...

You can add whatever you like to this - garlic, herbs or spice - finely chopped capsicum is nice with the herbs. It's very versatile.
10/Mar/09 2:24 PM
 |  |

I've got to try that, too. Sounds easy and tasty, Judy.
10/Mar/09 2:45 PM

Just had a yummy steak dinner. I'm feeling mellow. Steak tomorrow night, too. That's at our Cattlemen's meeting.
10/Mar/09 2:46 PM
 |  |

I'm supposed to eat red meat at least three times a week - steak sounds good right now! :)
10/Mar/09 2:57 PM

Oops, I have to head off to pick up my new glasses: 3 pairs - one for each eye. ;)
Catch you later Heidi! :)
10/Mar/09 3:01 PM
 |  |

Good luck with the new glasses. It's always nice to be able to see clearly.
10/Mar/09 3:11 PM

Judy, I just got back from the optometrist - getting my eyes tested for a new pair of glasses... I'm getting old!!!
10/Mar/09 3:41 PM
 |  |

Any change in the prescription?
10/Mar/09 3:54 PM
 |  |

The last 2 times I had my eyes tested, they had improved! My eyesight is better now than it was 30 years ago.

JUDY, almost my recipe, except I am making whole wheat bread, and you cannot get self rising whole wheat flour. My recipe was 1 1/2 cups each plain white flour and whole wheat flour, 1 tbs each baking powder and sugar, 1 1/2 tsp salt, a 12 oz beer plus 1/4 cup water ( water only needed for the More...

My eyesight is not improving. But it is not changing fast. I can go 4 to 6 years before changing prescription.
10/Mar/09 3:57 PM
 |  |

Good Night all, it is past my bedtime by the new clock, I will check in again in the morn. Hugs to any who need.
10/Mar/09 4:08 PM
 |  |

MizT. And I always need a hug.
10/Mar/09 4:16 PM

Just reset the hot water heater. Now I have to wait for the water to heat up to feed the dogs.
10/Mar/09 4:17 PM
 |  |

I like to soften their food in hot water (hot works faster than cold, and they get a tastier meal) to try to prevent bloat. That's also why I feed so late at night. Once I go to bed, so do the dogs. They are less prone to bloat if they rest after eating.
10/Mar/09 4:19 PM
 |  |

I have lost a number of Collies to bloat over the years, but none since i started the late night feeding.
10/Mar/09 4:20 PM

Whatever works.
