It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

Thank you for taking the TOPP Heidi. If you hadn't I wouldn't be able to post for a while. I am going to set the record for least amount of TOPP's. I am still at zero and plan on staying that way.
13/Mar/09 12:30 PM
 |  |

I planned on it, too, then I tried a leisurely post with 10 posts to go, and nobody around, I thought. Eaa tossed in 10 quick posts. She's goooooooood.
13/Mar/09 12:37 PM
 |  |

And SNEAKY. Maybe that's why I like her so much.

Got the rest of the feeding done, and most of the feed unloaded. I have to make one more trip out there to bring in a few things I forgot.

The snow is about 2 inches deep now. Hard to believe that I spent the last week outside in a light weight T-shirt.
13/Mar/09 12:42 PM
 |  |

Well, once more into the snow.
13/Mar/09 12:45 PM
 |  |

Hope you are enjoying the snow, Heidi. That is one reason I still live in Florida. I don't want to have to shovel my driveway.
13/Mar/09 12:45 PM
 |  |

I don't see your light on, Heidi. I guess this how you are getting all the TOPP's. Being sneaky.
13/Mar/09 12:46 PM
 |  |

What's wrong with sneaky?

I was born in Wisconsin. That's 9 months of winter and 3 months of bad skiing weather. And I don't ski. At least here, the winters are a joke. Snow doesn't stick for more than a few days. The cold spells are short and rarely in single digits or lower. I remember in Wisconsin where there'd be 2 months where it never got ABOVE -20 F ( -29 C). I can't take that.
13/Mar/09 1:04 PM

I've had to plow the driveway ONCE in 17 years.

Well, I've done it! I just made the Chocolate Mug Cake. Luckily I used a really big mug, it's overflowing. I'm just waiting for it to cool down and I'll eat it with some cream and a cup of English Breakfast Tea with lemon. Yummo!
13/Mar/09 1:07 PM
 |  |

Cyn, enjoy the chocolate cake. I made it once and it is good. I forgot about the recipe.
13/Mar/09 1:08 PM
 |  |

Tami, you forgot chocolate? Now I did not copy the recipe first time it was discussed. Thought I had escaped it's clutches, but it is copied now, waiting to be printed and put in my recipe files. You people are a bad influence.

Maybe I will loose the recipe once I print it?

Hello friends.
Please spare a thought for my second oldest sister who is having surgery today to unblock her carotid artery, the cause of her TIA's (mini strokes).

Wendy, love you sis.
13/Mar/09 1:36 PM
 |  |

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery for Gail's sister Wendy!
13/Mar/09 1:39 PM
 |  |

Bless you MizT.

I am trying not to think too much about it until I hear word.

And now, I must go. I was sneaking a pooter time while hubby was in the shower. For the first time in ages, he and I are going to do a 'gail'!
Later everybody.
13/Mar/09 1:43 PM
 |  |

Any sister of yours is a sister of ours, Gail. I pray that this surgery is 100% successful, and has the easiest recovery in history.

Wendy.
13/Mar/09 1:44 PM
 |  |

Hugs for Gail.

Thoughts and Prayers for Wendy.

13/Mar/09 1:47 PM
 |  |

Flinging food right now. Tortellini with marinara sauce, and italian sausages. Good cold weather stuff.
13/Mar/09 1:48 PM
 |  |

Gail -
As is you haven't had enough to cope with recently. All the best for Wendy's op. Please let us know when you hear, you know what your SA sisters are like.
13/Mar/09 1:55 PM
 |  |

I've eaten one third (only) of the cake - the rest is put away for later - much later. It makes a huge amount!
13/Mar/09 2:04 PM
 |  |

Hugs to you Dag, Wendy.
13/Mar/09 2:04 PM
 |  |

Gail, good for hubby to take you to lunch today, that should keep your mind on more plesant things today. Really hard when you are not right there with a sister, isn't it?
13/Mar/09 2:16 PM

Finished that book, I had figured out part of the ending, kind of wondered about another part, but could not make up my mind. Some of my varied reading, about snipers and Vietnam war, and stretching over 25 years afterward, and the Russian/US cold war, and spies and counterspies. Interesting, deep, kept me thinking on that one.
13/Mar/09 2:19 PM
 |  |

Sounds hilarious, MizT.
13/Mar/09 3:07 PM

The snow is still coming down hard. I don't remember having a snowstorm this late in Kentucky since we've been here.

hmm Heidi...yet another post commenting on how the best TOPP's are acquired by accident...it sure takes a lot for some folks to take the hint that not everyone is entertained by these page gobbling races for TOPP's....in fact it has put so many people off that they no longer visit SA...the list is More...

Cyn...how big is a really big mug? What is the volume in mls? I am interested in giving it a go.

Glad to hear that you came to terms with the shooting when you were a child but it is very interesting how something can bring the past back to mind with unbelievable clarity...

Hello everyone! Gail, sending your sister all my best wishes, hope the surgery goes without drama and she gets better very quickly.
Heidi, sorry about your hat! We had a dog that used to eat everything - she mutilated my poor Barbie doll!

13/Mar/09 3:54 PM

Bean - it was actually a mug for soup. Just checked, it holds 2 cups - 16 fluid ozs.
Oh well, time to get ready for the shopping. Ciao all.
13/Mar/09 3:56 PM

No probs...would hate to miss one of your interesting posts whilst skimming over the 'page turners'... have learnt a lot of interesting stuff on here from you [like your comment today on dwarf horses...hehe...do you know I quote you when talking to other people..some of the things you have told us all?]
13/Mar/09 4:01 PM

Bean, frantically hunting through the pages, can't find the relevant one - sorry, you'll have to refresh my memory on the dates - but unless it's this weekend , I think I'm good for most days (not much of a life really!)
