The gout is much better, Julie, but the facial abscess is driving me bonkers. My dentist won't be back for 6 more days so I'll just have to cope.

This is a failure of the previous apico which was done when an earlier root canal failed. This will require the removal of more diseased bone. Oh, joy.

I've had so much major dental work, that I've gotten over my fear of Dentists. At times the pain has been so awful that I'd like to have the pain ended with a chainsaw. I've had root canals in all but one tooth. This will be my forth apicoectomy.

I only go if the mouth hasn't healed. I have 1 more day on the antibiotics, and there is still a small lump on the gum. I'll wait a few days after I'm done to let it continue healing, then call in with a progress report.

I'm done with the antibiotics. There's still a small distended pocket on the gum, but I'm hoping that it's just taking it's time shrinking back, since it was stretched out so much.

Well, I'm disappointed. The pocket in the gum is swelling up again. It looks like I'll have to have more oral surgery.
