Just stopping in for a quick hi and bye. Spoke to mom a few times today and she is doing well, just a little tired. I have to get up early to take car in before school so I am going to bed early but I had to stop in to say hi. I will catch up over the weekend. Thanks to everyone for their good wishes for my mom.

The reason we want that pup is that an animal shelter, especially one in Kentucky, is not a good place for him. They have a very high incidence of illness, and they aren't selective about the home that gets him. Plus, he will not have good socialization there. Some of these shelters that don't More...

Did you see the news item last night about a bungled ram raid. Some thieves rammed a shopping centre with a 4WD and dragged an ATM into the back. Somehow or other they hit reverse and ended up stuck in another shop and fled empty handed. The bank involved said that the ATM would only have had a few More...

Suzy, about your first news article. I wonder why the young man had to borrow trousers? While he was borrowing, why not borrow underwear to go with??

Of course we saw Billy, MizT, several times. There are several different engines that pull ht e trains, not sure which one is actually Billy, I think he's the green one. We even saw the diesel engine, he is usually only used in times of high fire danger, because the steam engine could throw out embers. I videoed them and hubby photographed them from every angle!
And yes, I waved, it's the law!

Still here! Gail, haven't been on Puffing Billy since the kids were little - every time I leaned out the window I got soot in my eye, but it was fun! I remember having a fun time with the kids at the lake, too, but that was a LONG time ago! :)

Hubby has expressed interest on going on Billy now. He has never seemed inclined in the past. He was reading the brochure and saw there is a complimentary bus from Belgrave (meaning you can leave your car at Belgrave) to Gembrook then you take Billy back to Belgrave on the Afternoon Tea train.

I found our cat over the back fence. I have brought her home but she will not stay inside and she is not well. I have to pick up Laura soon and Ken has the Grand final of his U/14 baseball championships tonight so if she is no better in the morning looks like a trip to the vet.
