Suzy, I hope one of the parents does press charges against the man that stopped the bus. The police should have taken him into custody right then and there. If he is quick to do that to a busload of kids, who knows what he will do to anyone else. You've got to be pretty warped to think it's ok to stop a bus, no matter what happened!

Broni there was a sweet looking tri colour Basset hound at the rescue centre on Sunday. Might have considered him but we wanted something a little taller.
While we were there it did look as if saomeone was interested in him too.

Broni..... a lot of pet quality Bassets here do have longer legs than they should. Bellas legs are the correct length for Bassets here, too.

Stella we were thinking of getting another puppy, but decided to get a rescue dog instead. There are so many being handed in or just dumped on the streets. This is what happened to the dog we are adopting. She is 3 yes old approx and is an English working setter(might be pure breed or not). Everything has got the go ahead for us picking her up Wednesday morning.

Bullying is so hard to control. Once, some adult would confront the bullying child and make him uncomfortable enough, that he stopped or moderated the bullying. It seems that cannot happen now.

Thank you all for the feedback on bullying especially Suzy who emailed me some very useful advice which I will pass on to son and DIL.
Nola - yes this school, like most, has the 'buddy' system in place but for Prep classes. These girls are in years 4 and 2 so their 'buddies' have long since gone on to high school.

Just got back from the monthly Lion's Club "meeting". Only 4 of us showed up, so we had a nice meal and chatted for a while. No club officers. But we did come up with some interesting ideas for fund-raisers that don't require a lot of workers (our biggest problem).
