For news from me: Been working in the yard - not EVEN attempting a leaf clean up as I get them up and by the next morning it looks like I haven't done a thing!
We bought our hardwood floors (Santos Mohagany) on Friday and will pick it up a week from Monday.
I'm hoping to find a picture of it More...

Good morning all. We are off to a Christmas lunch today (Probus) and at the moment the sun is shining. we will be overlooking water so should be a nice day.
Laura is in daycare today and tomorrow so she is home with her Dad. I will pick her up again tomorrow night.

7 minutes until the morning rush, 2 hours and 7 minutes until the water is turned off (connecting a new water line across the street, the water will be off until 2pm), and probably 2 hours until hubby takes over the computer room for the day...

Laura helped me put up the Christmas tree over the weekend. The fibre optics would not work so we bought some LED lights. It is a small tree so we just started at the top and went around and around to the bottom and where the lights went they stayed. Might have been different with a bigger tree More...

June - that's a great tip! Sorry about the fibre optics...our fake tree is pre-lit, but a strand of lights no longer work, so I have to string lights into it. Not so bad. I also use cedar bows on the mantle and around the inside of the house to get that wonderful smell that comes with a fresh tree.

Sorry - found that link doesn't take you to the final page. Click on "hardwood flooring" and then scroll down to the Artisan "Terra Verte" (not the first Artisan display - the lower one)
Click on that and roll over the samples til you come to Santos Mahogany. If you click on that you can see views of the flooring up close.

Good afternoon everyone. Son was thrilled with all the birthday wishes. Mom is happy with the warm welcome she has recieved. She will post more often, once she is more comfortable with it. In answer to your earlier question MizT I am just doing odd jobs with the sewing.
Like replacing a pocket in some shorts of hubby's. Taking in a top I bought. Shortening a black lace dress and a skirt.

Becky, I never thought of the car rego in the glove box (also compulsory here) providing a link to your address. Imagine if you leave your house keys in your car, as I do, and your car is stolen! I took my rego papers out of my car after I read your post.

CynB, I'd love to hear how the kids' dancing costumes recycling works. My girl has her concert soon, and I get so sick of the expense and work involved in making costumes each year - always hard to sew fabrics, hours spent adding sequins etc. I love to do it for her of course, but....
