The stuff in Mumbai has touched the world. It's so sad and awful. I checked the members list and we have 25 members from India on this site, 2 of whom specifically say Mumbai. There may be others who have listed a city as their 'from'. I have only seen Appy posting though. I hope the others are okay.

I agree with you. The local Chabad, an orthodox Jewish synagog, is having a prayer service today for Mumbai. The Rabbi and his wife who were taken hostage were confirmed as being dead. They will be praying for all victims, and the survivors.

I don't usually log onto msn in the mornings as I am up and down doing stuff and can't sit and chat. This morning for example I am supposed to be taking up a pair of pants for Ally to wear today.

Because she was a late edition to the group, Ally's top is an old one worn by one of the girls for something else. It looks even better than the new ones!

Sometimes the hand me downs ended being the best.
I have a cousin who is 7 years older than me. For a short while I was able to wear her and me downs. I was about 11 or 12 and had the "high school" stuff. I caught up to her and passed her in about a year. I am about 5 inches taller than her.

I was taller than a lot of people when I was 12. Unfortunately I also seem to have stopped growing at around the same time while those around me continued to shoot up! I am now usually the shortest adult in any room.

I had my growth spurt around 12. I am still one of the taller ones for my age. I am about 5'7". How tall are you? Mitchell was so excited to find out you share a brithday. He thinks that is really cool.

Suzy, Tami, and anybody else hanging around.
IH's snoring actually makes the dogs growl. It's that loud and annoying. I cannot be in the same room with him.
Mason has a nasty bacterial infection all over her skin. That's why she's so itchy, and smells despite the medicated bath I gave her. Not strong enough medicine.

I'm 5'2" and a bit, or at least I used to have the bit.

My niece also shares our birthday. She will be 14 this year. I had to check that. I couldn't believe she was that old!

Oh yeah. She's starting on antibiotics, oils added to her food and very strong prescription medicated shampoo. I will have to bathe her weekly.

Wearing thick gloves Heidi? I hope she feels better soon...

I am trying to take up a pair of stretch pants 12cm (nearly 5") without cutting off excess fabric! They are borrowed pants and I need to be able to return them in the same condition I borrowed them!

Fold them under a few times and then hand stitch. It won't be easy, but it can be done.

Well the pants are shorter, bit chunky around the bottom but that will have to do. Time to go start my day - lots of hurry up then wait stuff today...

Today, will be getting the house ready for Family Christmas Gathering tomorrow..
and make desserts : Cheesecake, Trifle...

and (Sighing here), put up some C decorations, only got to put some up on the Patio..
not in the house..way toooo early for that.. 'says she who doesnt put the tree or deocorations up any earlier than a week before C Day' !!!

Yesterday Ken was suggesting I look up plane timetables for today but , as much as I would like to be there, I could not justify that expense or the hassle of getting to and from airports etc.
