Aye, there not be much wind in them thar sails, Vici. The Black Pearl is mighty sluggish when tacking into what wind thar be. She be nearly at a dead calm. I shall go bellow to the galley, and prepare some victuals, since the cook mutinied, and had to walk the plank.

Hi all. Just got back on today and haven't had time to catch up with you all. Will try in the next couple of days.

We got hit by the remenants (sp?) of Ike. What a mess.

Our area was hit by 75 mph winds. Electric went out on Sunday and didn't get it back until yesterday (that's a whole 'nother story). Internet came back up today.
We didn't have any property damage, thank heaven. Some neighbor's weren't as lucky. One 4 doors up from us had a big limb fall on More...

I was pretty lucky here, Becky. We also had 75 MPH winds, but they didn't last long, and we had minimal damage. Louisville is still in bad shape, with thousands of homes and businesses still without power. A lot of grocery stores have no power, so can sell no perishables. They don't know when power will be restored.

absolutly! organize a task force to come do the finish work on my house. as long as the labor is free i will pay for the trip. lodging may be very rustic as you will have to stay in the unfinished house working 14hr shifts. i can only feed you for a few days so you will have to work fast. my More...
