21/Sep/08 10:01 AM
 |  |

21/Sep/08 10:02 AM
 |  |

guess one had better rock and roll here, and shower and dress, have breakfast, get 'pic a nic' food organised, remind hubby to get the chairs and fold up table packed in the car, rain gear out...
21/Sep/08 10:06 AM
 |  |

Thanks Mary, sounds like I might have to become domesticated, yeauch!
Rolanda anytime is a good time to eat cheesecake....remember eat dessert first!
21/Sep/08 10:19 AM

I am pleased to report that the pumpkin pies turned out DELISH! I cannot believe that my first attempt worked out!
But I'm now so full (also had spaghetti) that I cannot move.
21/Sep/08 11:59 AM
 |  |

Plan B sounds like almost as fun as a pic a nic outside! Tim Tams... I have been resisting buying them because I would eat too many...
21/Sep/08 12:00 PM
 |  |

Congratulations Heidi!

21/Sep/08 12:02 PM
 |  |

21/Sep/08 12:04 PM
 |  |

Sounds like you will all be getting very friendly Rolanda!

I'm supposed to be feeding the machine so my kids don't have to go to school nekkid tomorrow... and look where I am... I'm calling it a lunch break.
21/Sep/08 12:08 PM
 |  |

21/Sep/08 12:20 PM
 |  |

Whipped cream with pumpkin pie???? Really going to have to check this out! Never had it.
Yep Rolanda will be there in about an hour, I get shy meeting new people. Sure you don't want to have it here, just cleaned the side and back decks and a beautiful sunny day here. Off to to do the front and that will be it for the day!
21/Sep/08 12:26 PM
 |  |

Ooops....need to post first and then read if I want to be able to say good morning.....
Not to worry...
Now can you tell me Miss Cockatoo Lady what you were doing up on the computer at 2.30 in the morning??? Date night = should be tucked up with hubby [you could've rung me...wasn't ]
21/Sep/08 12:27 PM
 |  |

21/Sep/08 12:32 PM
 |  |

Have a everyone
21/Sep/08 12:52 PM
 |  |

Broni... Do you mean to say that you've NEVER had pumpkin pie with whipped cream?? I am shocked! To me, it rivals chocolate as a perfect food.
21/Sep/08 12:55 PM
 |  |

Heidi Pumpkin Pie is not something we make here in Australia.. plenty of other pumpkin foods we do make .. eg soup, scones, roast pumpkin....
21/Sep/08 12:56 PM
 |  |

Vici... There's still plenty. I made 2 huge pies from the one smallish pie pumpkin.
21/Sep/08 12:57 PM
 |  |

Thanks Rola...they look delish!!! Which is the best for travelling...want to take one to Geelong to have at the BBQ after the paintballing ....ummm....think I would like to save the chocolate one ALL for me....yum!!!
21/Sep/08 12:58 PM
 |  |

I love stuffed roast pumpkin, too. Wild rice and lean ground meat with seasonings are a wonderful stuffing.
21/Sep/08 12:59 PM
 |  |

The Bistro Cheesecake is bigger, and will feed more!!
21/Sep/08 1:00 PM
 |  |

Stuffed??? nah, we dont stuff ours.. just cut into pieces and roast with the roast meat and Potatoes, and onions.... !!!
21/Sep/08 1:01 PM
 |  |

I've never tried that. I need to. It sounds good.
21/Sep/08 1:03 PM
 |  |

Has the airfare arrived yet Heidi???
21/Sep/08 1:05 PM
 |  |

I need to feed the dogs now. Back in a little bit.
21/Sep/08 1:05 PM
 |  |

I like to stuff the little 'Nugget' ones...it also makes a really nice risotto with lots of bacon, onion and parmesan and I love it with pasta..lasagna, ravioli or cannelloni...
We are having roast pumpkin tonight [my favourite] but I haven't decided what to have with it yet...have so chicken mince defrosting so I might make a meatloaf or something.....any ideas anyone?
21/Sep/08 1:15 PM
 |  |

Howdy all.
Having unexpected visitors here in a while. A friend from Adelaide and her two daughters are popping in around 2ish for drinks and nibblies.
Never seen a whirlwind like it...me cleaning the house this morning!
21/Sep/08 1:22 PM
 |  |

Bean, what do you THINK I was doing up at 2.30! Certainly wasn't insomnia as Ian seems to think! Date night had just fini9shed and I was checking out the net to see if we were back up to normal speed...I am pleased to say we are...THEN I was heading off to bed!
21/Sep/08 1:25 PM
 |  |

Catch you all later!
21/Sep/08 1:26 PM
 |  |

Could just picture it Dag! Doing much that same today as I will be working all week.
Sorry Heidi never tried, pumpkin pie, but reckon I have a pumpkin that will make about half a dozen pies. Nor have I tried stuffed pumpkin that sounds good....oh what a sheltered life I lead.
21/Sep/08 1:30 PM
 |  |

Hey - I found out over on Easy that Heidi and I are packing up our painter's gear and coming to Oz - courtesy of Rolanda! Thanks lil' sis!

21/Sep/08 1:33 PM
 |  |

The stuffed pumpkin recipe I have is a Native American dish. That's probably why you aren't familiar with it.
