Bean, you were up late! Hope you slept well...
23/Sep/08 6:21 AM
 |  |

Howdie! Folks.
23/Sep/08 6:25 AM
 |  |

Heidi, do you think the flinging cow knew her fate and was trying to avoid it?
23/Sep/08 6:26 AM
 |  |

Morning eaa! How are you today?
23/Sep/08 6:27 AM
 |  |

I don't think she knew her fate, but cows don't like change. It rarely bodes well for them.

Now I NEED to go clean that trailer!
23/Sep/08 6:54 AM
 |  |

Ahhh, Heidi, you mean you do not put your cows in the trailer and take them for Sunday afternoon rides? Just so they are accustomed to riding in the trailer?
23/Sep/08 6:57 AM
 |  |

Heidi, if you wash the trailer near the garden you will have liquid manure! (But hope the next blood tests show up some simple problem and everything is OK)

Good to see you eaa Do not think you have bee around for a few pages.

Rena, like Tricia says, just read the last couple of pages and tell us what you have been doing! You must be getting excited with your trip getting closer.
23/Sep/08 7:30 AM
 |  |

Suzy, the rain seems to have stopped so might get in a game of social bowls! Then will pick up Sharon and Laura for a few more days. It is mainly so Sharon does not have to do things for Laura.(Laura is in daycare Tues, Thurs, Friday)
23/Sep/08 7:34 AM
 |  |

June, it is still raining here, though lightly.

I'm guessing Sharon isn't allowed to drive which makes it very hard when you have children.
23/Sep/08 7:36 AM
 |  |

I keep popping in during rush hour... soon I will really be here, hope someone else is too!
23/Sep/08 7:57 AM
 |  |

Good Morning SA6,
Hope you are all well, Heidi good luck with the tests.
Starting to get exicited about Ian and Anne coming up here. Pressure washed the decks on the weekend and I have lifted half the paint on our deck we used a friend who is a "Clayton's Painter" , well at least it is cleaner.
23/Sep/08 8:00 AM
 |  |

LOL Broni! I've never heard of a Clayton's Painter, but the term fits!!
23/Sep/08 8:12 AM
 |  |

Glad you are going in soon, Heidi...yeah, Suzy, pretty sneaky of her to use an emergency vehicle so we'd all pull over - hehehe!
Rena - so good to see you back, was wondering where you were.
23/Sep/08 8:15 AM
 |  |

I think that came out wrong - was laughing at your turn of phrase, not at the paint loss!
23/Sep/08 8:17 AM
 |  |

INPUT APPRECIATED!!!
Dear ones...I just posted some picks of the baths that I did a few walls in colors. The aqua one is nice and subtle, but the pinkish one is quite bold and I'm worried it's a bit too much. I've always been a bit of a "beige" person...not too skilled with color, More...
23/Sep/08 8:21 AM
 |  |

Vici, I LOVE IT!
That looks absolutely brilliant, once you put the finishing touches, skirting boards, towel rails and vanity in it will look fantabulous! Do not change a thing but that is only my opinion.
Zusy, probably should explain to the topsiders that 'Claytons' is a non alcholic mixer More...
23/Sep/08 8:44 AM
 |  |

Vici, I love the colour too. Very very bright and cheerful. Being a beige person myself I know where you are coming from though. My input would be to live with it for a while after the other fittings are in, and if it still feels too bold for you, then tone it down. And I know it is harder to repaint once you have fittings in!
23/Sep/08 8:50 AM
 |  |

Broni, kind of like an Arts degree???

Oops, I didn't say that....
23/Sep/08 8:51 AM
 |  |

I'm officially here by the way - empty house!!!

Well I think it's empty.... About 5 minutes after Ally left I heard the front door slam. I went all around the house looking for someone, and there was noone there.... ♪♪♪twilight zone♪♪♪ I'm hoping she just forgot something and came back in and out without telling me.
23/Sep/08 8:53 AM
 |  |

Looks like there is an empty house in here too....
23/Sep/08 9:20 AM
 |  |

Isn't anyone else looking for an excuse to avoid STUFF?
23/Sep/08 9:34 AM
 |  |

Thank you so much Suzy and Broni for your input. Mike says to at least leave it for a couple of days...but I was thinking I would have to see it with the vanity and mirror and all the marble to really know how I felt. Much of the larger painted area will be covered by a vanity and mirror.
23/Sep/08 9:37 AM
 |  |

Suzy - all by your lonesome and no one in Sudokuland to play with! I love it when I have the house to myself - which is rare because we are both retired and Mike doesn't get out much.
humph!
23/Sep/08 9:39 AM
 |  |

I have to go fling some food. Fired up the oven because we have cooled off enough here to do that - yeah!!!
I make a mean corn casserole...think it's kind of a midwest or southern type dish - and SO easy!
1 can kernel corn, 1 can cream corn, 1 box Jiffy corn bread mix, 1 cube of butter, 8 oz. of sour cream...mix it all together and bake - DELICSH!
23/Sep/08 9:41 AM
 |  |

I'm looking at getting back into the work force Vici. It seems like I'm getting more serious as I'm planning the paper I have to write in my head. Soon I may actually manage to get something on paper (or computer!)
23/Sep/08 9:43 AM
 |  |

With that dish we'll be having barbequed apple/chicken sausage and steamed brocoli. OK - on that note I better get back to the meal.
23/Sep/08 9:43 AM
 |  |

Suzy - that is great! Are you completing a Masters? What is the paper for? Will Ebob be driving soon? That made a huge difference for Mike and me when Ali could drive her and Melissa to school and other activities.
23/Sep/08 9:45 AM
 |  |

No Vici, converting my engineering degree into a diploma of education - trying to become a high school science teacher!

I'll have to write down that recipe and give it a try - though I don't know if I can buy corn bread mix here. I'll have to have a look. I know I can buy polenta...
23/Sep/08 9:49 AM
 |  |

Suzy, dont think we can buy the corn bread mix!! with one of MizT receeps there is corn bread mix.. Gail has a receep for a type of corn mix using Polenta.

Hey Vici... email just sent to you.. love the aqua colour, not too sure about the hot pink!!!
23/Sep/08 9:55 AM
 |  |

Suay, that sounds exciting.. Science Teacher !!!
Will probably be more satisfying than belly busters !!

Have stuff to do, am so not here..

Hope everyone has a great day/evening/night
23/Sep/08 9:57 AM
 |  |

hmmmm Zusy, new name spelling for you - Suay????
23/Sep/08 9:58 AM
 |  |

Definitely more satisfying Rolanda, and all I have left to do is the write up from my last prac, and one more prac!!! So I just have to write about 3000 words, teach for free for 4 weeks, write something about it, and then I am done! Other than the handstands you have to do to work for the dep ed of course!
23/Sep/08 10:10 AM
 |  |

I'll check the cookbook to see if Gail has posted the receep here, otherwise I will ask her for it!
23/Sep/08 10:13 AM
 |  |

Suzy, we will have to start nagging you to get your Dip Ed finished. Then you could start teaching next year, even relief teaching would give you some good money.
23/Sep/08 10:34 AM
 |  |

Still light rain here but looks as though it has cleared down your way Suzy. No bowls and nothing worth seeing at the flicks.
23/Sep/08 10:37 AM
 |  |

Vici... my opinion, for what it's worth, is to bring out that beautiful view from the window. The pink clashes with it, the aqua accentuates the view. Also more restful to the eyes. But I am biased. I detest pink.
23/Sep/08 10:52 AM
 |  |

Heidi I tend to be a bit conservative but that pink could look startling with the right accesseries. What will you put on the windows and what coloured towels? Put up a abstact print on the wall if you have the room.
Th aqua looks a bit grey in the photo.
If unsure print off a photo on plain More...

Vici,I have a lot of antique furniture although the house is "70's"
The two spare bedrooms are a bit more modern to give me some contrast. But do you like the colour you have chosen?
My artistic daughter was going to paint inside her house with a deep teal colour. I suggested we More...

I want to see, too, Vici! Where are my photos?
23/Sep/08 11:27 AM

Ruby you can view the photos on Vici's page in her Gallery
