Our favorite Chrissy meal (when the prices drop) is Dungenous Crab. We just put newspaper down on the counter, slice up lemon, sourdough bread and melt some butter. What a feast!

MzT - your crawfishfest sounds so fun! I've made a lot of shrimp louies over this summer when it's been too hot to cook. Made my own "louie" dressing as 1000 island is not quite right.

yeah, your Bettas can come home. How long did this fair last? Seems like a long time already.

The KY State Fair lasts 11 days, but entries start being taken in as much as a week before. The Bettas had to be there 3 days beforehand, and the Rooster 1 day before. With pick up the day after, the whole Fair for me lasts 15 days.

Patch got into a fight with one of the other Collies (Patch LOVES to annoy the others), and Coffee injured her stifle and is now on painkillers and anti-inflamatories. Before I forget, MizT, yes, I do add tomato to my keema (thank you Bean). I add it as a small can of condensed tomato soup though. My receep also calls for mint and vinegar to be added at the end, so I use ready made mint sauce. White rice is fine to use.
