Hi all, just a quick pop in to see what has been going on again. I've loads to do to catch up after the weekend away.
My brother and his wife use a webcamera to talk to their daughter, SIL and granddaughter in Perth.Sometimes it can be a little slow but at least they get to see each other.

June, I didn't realise you were here! My computer must be updating in a weird way....

I hope so too June, but she's not the most subtle of people so I expect to be in trouble.

My mother is talking about getting a laptop. If she has a webcam built in we could talk to her that way too!

Suzy I am sure you have made the right decision, even though it is a very hard one to make.Your d's friend has many years in front of her to go to parties. Your conscience is now clear, you would have felt terrible is you hadn't said anything and things had gone wrong at this party.

I like looking on google earth too(going back to an earlier conversation, but the photo of our house is about 9 years old. We used to have a 12ft circular pool in our back garden and that is what you can see on our google earth photo.We got rid of it 8 years ago

Trip to Brussels went better than expected. Hubby had boooked us in for first class travel without telling me, so on a 2 hour train journey we had champagne, a very nice meal with wine and coffee. All in lovely comfortable seats with plenty of legroom.

Now if my sensible daughter could just work out how to aim at the dirty clothes basket, hang up a towel, move a cup from one room to another....

Was a shock to me Suzy. It wasn't too expensive either. We also found out that we could use the Eurostar tickets for first class travel on the trains in Belgium within 24 hours of us getting there and the 24 hours up to us leaving. So we had a side trip to Brugge (they have a Chocolate museum and lots of chocolate manufactures there)

Drooling..... chocolate..... REAL chocolate.....

I travelled business class on my first trip out of the country in 1988. Spoiled me for the economy trips I've had to do ever since!

Oh they aren't sensible things Suzy. My eldest sensible daughter (has an Hons degree in forensic science and is doing a teaching degree) cannot organise the washing or towels to hit there respective positions in the bathroom. None of my kids can unless I shout at them and even then it sometimes falls on deaf ears.

A few years back I was upgraded on a flight out of Minneapolis St Pauls to Edmonton. Now that was luxury, doubt that will ever happen again but we can dream

Only sometimes Brenda? I have said more than once something along the lines of 'you have been told to hang up your towel every day for over 10 years, that's more than 3650 times... how many more is it going to take?'

What did her parents say when you told them Suzy. Their reaction, if positive, should out your mind at rest. If not know your did the right thing

Sorry that last post was almost typed and I got a phone call. Sharon has been asked to work extra days for the next 3 weeks. I have been asked to babysit the extra days.

We upgraded to business class a couple of years ago coming home from UK. Would like to trvel that way always.

I am late late, let me throw on a pot of coffee and get out of here. I have doc appointment in 2 hours and I need to get bootiful, or a reasonable facilimi of bootiful. Clean and neat may be best I can do hehehe. Have not read since early morning, but will catch up later, hugs!

MizT, good luck with your doc. Boy do I know the 'it's all in your head' comment! I've been lucky with my last 2 docs though.

Trying to send birthday messages, read news, read emails and Google Earth at the same time. Wonder why it is taking AGES for my pages to update?
