Last night a group of teenagers hung around on the street waiting for 5.30 to come and go. They were terrified they were going to die. The media needs a big kick where it hurts!!!! Fear creates ratings, so why not??

SUZY, I do think if all I had was surgery pain, I would be taking noting but tylenol! Nerve pain is a color of a different horse. I did stretch them out to a pill every 4 hours, will give it till tomorrow (just fore I run out of pills) to see if it gets even better fore calling doc back again. I HATE PAIN PILLS! have never taken this many before for anything. But I do know when they are needed.

MizT, are you stretching them out because you hate pain pills or is the pain actually a tiny bit better?

Heidi, yes, doing the ice, my tale is told! actually was told to alternate ice and heat, cause the body gets accustomed to either, and ignores it, for pain relief that is.

Suzy... ????? What was that about? Why were those teens afraid that they were going to die?? Don't just drop a bombshell like that and leave. Fill us in.

MizT, I don't know what kind of painkillers they gave you, but I get Methadone for mine. Great stuff. If I need it, I feel NO pain.

Heidi, I have lortab ( hydrocodone and tylenol mix). I do not usually need much pain meds, one lortab would put me to sleep for 6 to 8 hours, this is most unusual for me to take this much pain med. MizT, I had something similar when I was on pethadeine (think that's how to spell it). Other people said they floated etc. I just fell asleep and missed all the fun. If I had visitors they had travelled at least an hour to get to me so I would resist and resist until they left because I knew as soon as I had the injection I was off to sleep! But what a wonderful sleep...

Our news stories mentioned that it was discredited info, but in the fine print after mentioning the court cases to stop it etc etc. I thought it was bad reporting, but when I saw how scared the teens were I was furious!

Teenagers do love the DRAMA! Don't know anything about the one who committed suicide. I'm so grateful I don't have all that hormonal insanity running through my head anymore (well, just a little!)

Luckily I'd already vented at home about the irresponsible reporting and acted like I understood all the stuff that discredited the hype so Ebob was prepared when the kids at school started stressing and was pretty sure that everything was going to be okay. I don't think she was postive, much like TE.
