June are you sitting and waiting again?

Mine too June, but I timed out twice yesterday. Not in a row either....

ROFL - I didn't even notice we were close, too quick for me June! Did I miss any comments?

Hi Suzy...I don't think you missed much...you are pretty quick generally....I was hoping June was waiting again...but it looks as if she may have hit and run...lol

I don't think so Mamacita, when she isn't racing for a TOPP I think June is multitasking, a few minutes between each message

I missed all of June's race, including the comment about the baby Magpie. They make the most annoying noise when following their mothers around asking to be fed, I hope that's not the noise this one is making at June's door!

Since its the witching hour here, I think I'll get ready to get some shut eye...see you all on the flip side...g'night!

Oh, You came back when I wasn't looking...maybe you are right, or now she's working the puzzles....sorry to run out on you, but its really late and my bed iscalling loudly....maybe making more noise than a magpie...lol Take care!

The mother magpie is not about so this one sings nicely Suzy. Laura liked the fact that the magpie ran towards her when she threw down the meat. We are also feeding a butcherbird with an injured wing and the kookaburras are around as well. (not to mention lorikeets and sulphur crested ones)

Hi June, Broni, Julie, Lee, MizT, Mamacita, Suzy, Gail, Rolanda, Bean, Mary (Bibra Lake), Rena, Jane, Mary (Manly), Elise, Ruby, and Brenda

Just caught up with all the goss. So much has been going on here, that I don't even know where to begin.

The weather has been bizarre here, to More...

MizT, sorry to hear about the lightning strike. Glad to know that no one was hurt. Our DSL is connected into a phone jack, which is connected to our router (multiple computers). Just unplug from the wall or the back of your computer router.

Gail, got a charge out of your story about More...

Suzy, I'm sure your a good cook. My niece wants me to show her how to make homemade noodles and skillet gravy. She had asked for the recipes and told her I make them scratch. Learned at my mom's knee.

You did the right thing. With an open invitation, who knows who is going to show up?

Are the peanut butter cups similar to Reese's?

Rolanda, thanks for posting the pictures.

I still need to visit a lot of pages. Need lots more time or less sleep.

You guys keep mentioning that bad word again (iron). I quit doing that about 15 years ago. Found out that if I take shirts, etc. out of the dryer while still a little damp, hang them up, the weight pulls the wrinkles out.

Could someone explain to me how a dishwasher uses less water than More...

Thank you Gail. SIL calls me names, some of which are not great, because I watch the pennies.

How have you been?

Great thanks Becky. Went to a Rotarian dinner last night because they sponsored a camp my youngest went to, and they wanted the kids to come along and say a little something about the camp. It turned out there were only two youngens there and D#3 spoke first and gave a lovely speech she had written herself (ok, Mum wrote down some guidelines but the words were hers!)

And you, how have you been?
BTW I do not do THAT thing either (iron).
You must be excited about new carpet.
Can I put you down for a house painting job here? I have painted one room by myself and the response I got was understated to say the least, so I haven't offered again!

Sounds like you all had a good time. I'm sure your daughter did you proud.

I wonder if your Rotary is the same as the ones here.

Been doing ok. Hubby took me out last week for my birthday. The first sit-down restaurant since last fall. We usually do buffets, when we do go out, but was nice to be waited on.

I've been talking about buying carpet for almost a year and finally decided, now is the time. I'd be glad to help. I'm doing most of it here while hubby is at work.

Yes it is. It is the Australian branch of Rotary International. I am staggered at what they are actually involved in.

Birthday? I do not think I remember a birthday for you Becky. My heartfelt apologies. Have you been hiding your light under a bushel?

Belated greetings

I'll have to see if they have a website. Been trying to get hubby involved in something outside of work and home.

They do so much humanitarian fundraising and have a lot of programmes orientated towards the youth of the community.

No need to apologize, I haven't told anyone here when it is. Actually, it's right after New Year's. By that time, most people are celebrated out. Years ago, hubby asked if we could "move" it to June. I told him no problem. We get take-out on my birthday, then go out in June.

Thanks for the wishes.

I love that idea!
We sort of have the same 'problem'. Christmas/New Years is a total wipeout for obvious reasons and rapidly following that is our anniversary. Sometimes it falls by the wayside but mostly, we try to get away for a night together just to take a breather.
Then the birthdays More...

Go for it, you deserve to be celebrated.

Know what you mean about birthdays. We used to buy for the 11 nieces and nephews when they were young. By the time they hit high school, we stopped. They tastes got too expensive.

We have never really bought for outside of our immediate family. Apart from us and the kids, our folks were really the only ones, otherwise it tended to be a bit a token gift giving thing. We used to buy Chrissy presents for hubby's nieces and nephews, but seeing as he is one of seven, and they More...

Since we don't have kids, it was hinted that we should give Christmas gifts, too, when they were little. We talked it over and bought only 1 nice toy and left it at Grandma's since she babysat for 9 of them. My sister's 2 got a couple of small things.

Sorry Becky to have disappeared on you. Hubby is home from work and has had his shower and apparently wants to talk!!! Of all the nights! Doesn't he know I am chatting with someone important.
Catch you soon Becky, thanks heaps for the chat.
