Despite the sadness, I had a nice lunch with Kate and Kate. Melbourne Kate was in Sydney for a few days and wanted to meet up with Sydney Kate. With just the three of us the conversation was more personal and we were able to learn more about each other. (all mundane!) Also conversation about cameras, and photos etc.

Sent Meghan off to Cairo yesterday. She is not there yet though. She has a 12 hour layover in London. She was very nervous and I'm nervous about her arrival in Cairo. She won't get there until 1am and then she has to find her way to an apartment and the directions she got from her apartmentmate More...

When I got to my mom's, she had a big bruise over her eye and on her arm. Apparently, she fell when her foot hit the wheel of her walker. She couldn't get up and had to drag herself to the other end of the house to get to the phone to call my sister. She seems ok, but she didn't go to the doctor More...

Ruby, my entire right cheek (I know, tmi) is a deep red purple. It is still hard to sit, so it was hard driving the 3 hours down. It feels like a bad sunburn when I'm not sitting and with little movements when I sit, it feels like a cut with a knife. It will be nice to be able to sleep again when it heals more.

June, I hope your toe feels better. Hopefully, you won't lose the nail. You must have been seeing stars when that board dropped! Hope Laura liked playing with the carriage.

Stella hope your mother gets over her fall, these things can be frightening for an older person. oh and your bruise sounds lovely and colourful, though I doubt it will be on public view
If you know Meghan's flight number you can check it out on the airport website, either Heathrow(to see departure time) or Cairo (for arrival)

Brenda, is the time difference only 5 hours now after we did daylight savings here? I thought her flight was leaving 11:45 our time but when I just checked the flight now, it hasn't left yet and it says the time is 5:45pm there.

MizT, you are good getting squished. I haven't managed to convince myself to do that yet...

Suzy, I am long past the teenage party stage but I am sure if you just have the type of food they all love, the right music and lots of fun everything will go well. It is worrying that female bullying has become such a problem.
And just think if those bullies were at the party they would spoil it anyway.
I am sure your daughters true friends will be there.

Stella, hope your Mum is OK. Your fall certainly has left you very sore and hope it soon improves. You have too busy a life to have injuries like that.

Feeling a little better. Always feel ok in the mornings, but come nighttime, I wallow in self-pity!
Still mainly in my head (no, not imaginary), a little cough but not in my chest, so far, so good. If I end up with a chest infection, I usually end up in hospital with an asthma attack! Touch wood for me, not with your toe June!

Sorry Eliseviv, only saw your post this morning...YES! YAY! It got here fine. Picked it up from the post office yesterday. Give me a chance to have a good read, and I'll get back to you.
