I was just taking a closer look at your avatar flower. Is it a pink dogwood?
06/Jul/08 10:04 PM
 |  |

JUNE, very observant, yes, that is a pink dogwood. Some are much lighter pink in color, but some are that dark. I thought it a good avatar for me, we have lots of dogwoods of all kinds around this area.

Hot chocolate does not keep you awake? It bothers me almost as much as coffee! Not sure which has the most cafien in it, huumm, something to goggle one day when I have nothing to do.

Hot biscuits (scones?) just out of the oven, time for my breakfast. I think they would be good with plum jam.

Hi MizT. I love dogwoods but they do not grow well in Sydney. I did have a white one for a while. Saw lots when we went to Canada several years ago.

Hi MizT & June just in time for coffee & scones & jam (plum) at that Im off to craft today in September we are off to Canada & cruising back to Sydney 30 days altogether can not wait 10 weeks and counting hehe

It was interesting reading the other day how you made your plum jam.
I just do one kilo (2 lb ) fruit, cook well, add 1 kilo of sugar and juice of one lemon and cook in the microwave until it sets.
The pour into my sterile jars. No baths etc.
I use the micro wave as I do not tend to burn the jam that way.(but I also only make small quantities)

Mary that sounds like a lovely holiday. Which part of Canada are you going?
