Isn't it strange how you can do the same recipe many times and it works well and then for no reason fails. I can never get Strawberry jam to set even using pectin.

They are healing nicely. the smallest one almost healed, a couple of them are deeper and taking longer. The nurse told me these would take longer than the cut and stitch to heal, but she did not say how much longer, it seems forever.

Well, I did try to do a larger batch this last time, did not want to have a small batch to do after a normal one, so I just added more. I think that might have been the cause. More and I did not cook it more, to get it all to the correct temp.

I'm fine, busy with work as normal (we are hoping to get some investment money into the firm to help expansion, so lots of work getting everything looking good)
I have to get the house put straight again for this weekend as my brother and his family are arriving back from Wales for the last few days of their holiday from Canada.

OH, yes, I remember you mentioned your brother's visit. I hope you have a lovely visit with him. How long has it been since you saw him before this visit?

a friend of mine uses her bread maker to make small batches of jam. You just shove all the ingredients in and set a timer and let it get on with it.

How long will they be with you? I hope you do have a most enjoyable visit and not too much work for you.

Never heard of using a bread maker, interesting. I do make apple butter with the crock pot, that works nicely, no stiring the spattering stuff.

We saw him last year when we went over to Canada, before that it was probably 6 years since he was over here, but this is the first time his wife and step sons have been to England. Unfortunately this last week the weather has been terrible, rain, rain and more rain and not too warm either.

they fly back to Canada next Wednesday, taking our youngest daughter with them. She is going to stay with them for 4 weeks.
